After 7 years in running, ‘Teen Titans Go!’ is finally coming to an end

After 8 years of saving Jump City, the Teen Titans have officially decided to take that long deserved break. According to the official statement released by the creator of the show, Aaron Horvath, the seventh and final season of the series will be aired on the 23rd of April and will be available on all streaming services.

The decade started on an unprecedented note with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Due to COVID, production on the majority of film and TV projects were halted for a portion of 2020. With the delays, many new releases were put on the back burner, but several shows still concluded in the first year of the new decade. Among the shows that had series finales in 2021 included Supernatural, Modern Family, Homeland, How to Get Away with Murder, and the unforgettable audience favorite Teen Titans Go!

Teen Titans Go! is a show that follows the adventures of the young Titans. It is about a group of superheroes, Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy who live and love to save the world but after they decide to stop fighting crime, things do not go as planned. The KCA nominated show takes a hilarious spin on some classic DC superheroes and focuses on entertaining the younger generation of viewers. The show has received outstanding recognition as Best Children’s Show and many other awards won by the talented group of voice actors.

Many stars from the show have voiced their love and appreciation to the fans for allowing them to bring these iconic characters to life. On Instagram, Greg Cipes (Beast Boy) said in a post, “It’s been a long run. This show’s been a huge part of my life. Forever grateful for the amazing cast and crew! TTG”. Tara Strong, who gives voice for the character Raven, also showed her love for the show by promoting the new no.1 trending hashtag, ‘TTG’.

The final installment of the show will mainly focus on the Titans solving any unresolved conflicts and once again, saving Jump City for one last time. Further information on the plot has not been revealed yet but we can expect some hilarious butt-kicking from our favorite DC superheroes.
