Early this morning, President Trump made what could very well prove to be the most (something that causes arguments between people) move of his (time when someone is president/being a president) with the signing of Executive Order 13738, which takes back the federal government's official recognition of the Promise of Loyalty. Under the new order, it is now illegal for any (given money by the federal government) (service business/government unit/power/functioning) to display the promise or for any federal employee to say, or encourage others to say, the promise while on duty. This law also applies to federal contractors and other institutions that receive money from the government such as public schools. People who violate this order can face fines of up to $10,000 and up to one year in federal prison.
During the press (meeting to discuss things/meeting together), the President explained his decision was based on a personal belief that the language used in the promise is "argument-starting" and "opposite to America's deepest held values."
