The Korean penis fish, long held to be among the peninsula's favorite, is seeking to enter America's kitchens and restaurants. Urechis unicinctus, it's scientific name, is a species of marine spoon worm. It is widely referred to as the fat innkeeper worm or the penis fish. Chinese and Koreans love it for its flavor as well as its ability to look like a big old wiener. It looks like Americans may be licking their chops to pop one in their mouth as well. When breaded, it looks like fish sticks, and who doesn't like to put fish sticks in their mouth? The locals prepare it raw with kimchi, and refer to it as "dong-hang-down". It may be getting a lot of attention on your table when displayed at dinnertime.
