A smiling Jim Smith was awarded administrator of the year today by a group of veteran teachers when it was discovered that he had been a teacher decades before becoming an administrator. In Jim's acceptance speech he said, "I'm really proud to accept this honor, and must say that I had no idea that being a substitute teacher back in my 20s would help me to stand out as an educational administrator. It's almost as if someone cares that I know something about the decisions that I make about education and teaching!".

Teachers said that they hoped this award would help bring attention to the deficit of educational training and experience wreaking havoc among higher educational facilities. Jane Goodall added, "We're not asking for the moon here, just someone who actually is aware of what a classroom looks like...perhaps some other districts will help find a way to have administrators who know the fundamentals about the decisions that they make. We can only hope at this point".

For all our sake, let's hope that these brave teachers are able to succeed in getting attention in a much needed area that affects the future of our country.
