(UPI) WASHINGTON - U.S. attorney general Jeff Sessions said today in a White House briefing that the Feds are cracking down on users of social media who continue to post fake news on their Facebook or twitter accounts.
Sessions further stated that parody and satirical websites would not be held accountable if there are easy to find disclaimers within their web page.
The most likely charge would be defamation libel which is not protected by the first amendment and could carry a federal prison term and monetary damages.
